Ricky Chandler

Ricky was born in Apopka, Florida but now lives in Mount Dora, Florida.  He started with Razin Kane in 2018.

Ricky grew up in what used to be a small town, his dad and grandpa were both welders/fabricators and excellent mechanics. Ricky lived it all from a very young age which led him to starting his career as an automotive tech, right out of high school. He has met a lot of great people along the way, worked at some cool places, from high end car dealerships to custom fabricator shops, parts stores. Until 2014 when he decided to take a leap and chase this dream. Thanks to the support of his wife and most important her patience for putting up with everything that comes with building monster trucks. Ricky has built so many trucks in the past 4 years, he’s lost count. The most popular are King Krush owned by Kevin Lawrence and most recently the new Xtermigator owned by JR McNeal with Razin Kane Monster Trucks.

Ricky got started a few years ago doing a street truck build for JR when he worked with Sonny’s Off-Road. JR was impressed with the work, and then asked if he would be interested in building him a chassis. A year or so later, Ricky completed the all new Xtermigator. At that point, he knew his destiny was already decided. JR asked him to come run his shop back in October of 2018. Ricky says the future of this team is looking bright!

While the teams are on the road, he spends most of his time in the shop, making sure the drivers and crews get what they need while they are traveling and performing.

Ricky is married and has three boys ages 4, 6, and Gavin is age 10. When he has free time, he usually spends it with his family. You can find Ricky and his family outdoors, doing anything from fishing, hunting, off roading, or mud bogging. Unless its football season, then they are huddled in front of the TV screaming at it!

Ricky’s greatest memory with the team is going to Anaheim, California with JR and the crew from ORI for the debut of the new Xtermigator and eating churros at 1AM in the hotel parking lot with everyone.

Ricky’s favorite food is a Tomahawk Ribeye and his favorite movie is Ace Ventura Pet Detective.
